The Hobbit Blu-ray Infograph Reveals Facts About Hobbits, Elves And Dwarves
There’s no doubt The Hobbit: An Unexpected Journey was a huge theatrical hit, surpassing the billion dollar mark at the box office. If history is any indication, home entertainment sets for Middle-earth oriented films have also always been pretty expansive and intricate and An Unexpected Journey seems as if it will follow the success of its Lord of the Rings counterparts. That’s a release that is certainly worth celebrating, and Warner Bros. Home Entertainment isn’t shirking on giving fans some excellent extras, including an infograph explaining the “unique features” of hobbits, dwarves, and elves.
The sliver above focuses on The Hobbit’s hero, Bilbo Baggins, who is played by Martin Freeman. If you’ve ever been interested in random facts about hobbits and their features, you can check ‘em out above, but if you are more interested in elves or dwarves, a larger version of the infograph is available at the bottom of the page.
Additionally, if you want to go interactive with the release, you can head over to Facebook and send in a video question for a live event with director Peter Jackson that will be held on March 24 and will also include a sneak peek at The Hobbit: The Desolation of Smaug. In order to be involved in this whole shindig, you’ll need to have purchased a copy of The Hobbit: An Unexpected Journey that includes an UltraViolet code.
All of this and more have been put together for The Hobbit: An Unexpected Journey’s big Blu-ray and DVD release, which will go down on March 19. If you really want to get your hands on the release as soon as possible, digital copies hit the market today. Seriously though, there aren’t a lot of sets that offer a wide range of awesome cover art and bonus features, plus access to a live event. You can check out the slick cover art and all the extras in our early announcement post.
