Horrible Bosses Trailer: Sudeikis, Bateman And Day Are Great Comedians And Inept Criminals
Ever since seeing the trailer during a presentation at Cinema Con back in April-- and also talking to the cast, if you want more on that experience-- I've had really high hopes for Horrible Bosses. Not only does it put together a genius comic team of Jason Sudeikis, Jason Bateman and Charlie Day, not only does it allow Colin Farrell, Kevin Spacey and Jennifer Aniston to all cut loose as psycho employers, but it's what looks like a really solid directorial effort from Seth Gordon, who wowed everyone with the documentary The King of Kong but slipped a bit on Four Christmases. Now so you can all be as excited as I am, that trailer has finally gone online at Apple.com; you can watch it there in HD or embedded below.
We got a glimpse at Colin Farrell's glorious combover in the images from the film that went online last month, but it's truly something else to see it in person. Even aside from the sight gags there's a lot of good stuff going on in here, whether Charlie Day cutting loose in a similar way that he does on It's Always Sunny in Philadelphia or the basic joy of watching Jason Bateman attempt to drink a full glass of scotch at 8 a.m. I take off a point of two for using "Taking Care of Business"-- because who hasn't heard that in one too many Home Depot commercials?-- but other than that everything looks really, really great. Horrible Bosses hits theaters on July 8, opposite Zookeeper, which gives you a very, very easy decision to make that weekend.
