Hudgens Set For High School Musical 3

High School Musical has it all wrong. Here’s the way this is supposed to work: You make a movie. Then interest in your property dies down, and you make a direct to DVD movie. Then years later there’s a resurgence of interest in your franchise and you get some sort of TV movie. HSM is doing everything in reverse. They did television, DVD, and now the High School Musical phenomenon is getting a movie. It’s gone all topsy turvey.

We’ve known that High School Musical 3 would be a movie for awhile now, but the big news tonight is that they’re starting to lock up the movie’s primary cast. US Magazine says that HSM stars Ashley Tisdale and Vanessa Hudgens are set to reprise their roles, and they’re getting a substantial increase in pay to do it. It’s likely well deserved. I don’t imagine making a movie for the Disney Channel is exactly like getting instant access to a money tree.

If you’re under 20 you probably only know Hudgens’ name from the tabloids, where her name got dragged through the mud after the shocking revelation that sometimes she’s naked at home in her bedroom. Usually while showering or changing clothes. What a whore. But Disney is willing to give this whore another shot, and though there were rumors that she’d be replaced in the HSM big screen adventure it looks like the mouse has decided to forgive and forget. Hudgens and her friend Ashley are supposed to sign their contracts later this week, so we’ll find out for certain whether Mickey’s merciful or not then.

i think hsm 1 and 2 are great but i bet hsm 3 is going to be better than the rest i think that ever once in a the arent and and fantastic

I think that hsm movies are the best in the world... Im a BIGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGG FAN of hsm the 3rd one is going to be sooo good and i cnat wait to see it in tthe cinema :)

i'm not with u megan cuz ok u r right in High School Musical 1 that it was horribal but i like every single movie they make. who knows if High School Musical 3 will be cool ,warrior movie so dont say anything before u watch it !!!

i think both the movies was great its has alot of feeling in the movies it changes peoples moods, i was in real bad mood the day i warched it and it really change my mood and if it did that to me i'm sure it will do that in the Cinema's with alot of people and come on who does not like music?, its a great movie for the Cinema's.

i think it should be on the disney channel because you dont really want to go to a cinema and listen to people singing the songs that will be really annoying but it will be good in a way to have it on in the cinema's that the people that dont have foxtel ZAC EFRON IS THE CUTEST GUY EVER!!!!

I'm not sure cinema release is the way to go with this franchise. DVD sales and viewing figures, particularly for HSM2, benefitted from older fans watching Vanessa Hudgens, especially after the "scandal" broke. Sitting in a cinema full of kids is a totally different matter to watching in the privacy of your own home. DVD sales might be higher for HSM3, but it might not be as much of a box office success as viewing figures for the first 2 parts makes Disney expect.

God, this is so stupid! WHY would they make more? The first one was bad enough! I mean, two was stretching it. But 3? And a 'big-screen' movie? Come ON! Couldn't they just make a Warriors movie or something- oh wait. I'd never want Disney to spoil that. So nevermind.
I am boycotting this film! Who's with me?
