Hopefully we can chalk this news up to blog boredom speculation, instead of the next crappy comic book movie audiences will approve of through box office success (Ghost Rider?). Word is that The Incredible Hulk, the sequel to Ang Lee’s 2003 belly flop, will begin filming this summer in Toronto, Canada, reports Sneakpeek.CA . Supposedly, both Toronto and Vancouver were scouted as possible locations, but Marvel, the Ontario Media Development Corp. and the Film and Television office confirmed the Toronto Shoot.
“This timely decision reinforces Toronto’s status as the national center of excellent and will serve as a strong kick-off to our 2007 production year,” says Toronto Mayor David Miller, who expects the film production to create 400 jobs in the city.
Louis Leterrier, director of crapfests such as The Transporter, Unleashed and Transporter 2, will helm the latest crap comic book movie. Adrien Brody (The Pianist) is rumored to portray Bruce Banner/The Hulk, but, hopefully, will pass because he knows a crap project when he sees one. Then again, he did Peter Jackson’s King Kong.
