The Hunt For Osama Is On In New Trailer For Kathryn Bigelow's Zero Dark Thirty
It took nearly a full decade for the United States Military to find and kill the terrorist leader known as Osama bin Laden, but on May 2, 2011 they were able to accomplish their mission when SEAL Team Six found their target at a compound in Pakistan and shot him until his death. It took a great deal of work and patience and years of intelligence gathering, but the man responsible for the Trade Center Attack on September 11, 2001 was brought to justice. And now director Kathryn Bigelow and writer Mark Boal are preparing to tell you that story.
The first feature length trailer for the upcoming thriller Zero Dark Thirty has arrived online, and the best news of all is that it's about twice as long as the teaser that came out back in August. Scope it out below and in HD over on Apple.
Bigelow and Boal's first film since they both took home Academy Awards for their work on 2009's The Hurt Locker, Zero Dark Thirty chronicles the story of America's hunt for Osama bin Laden and the team of Navy SEALs who took the enemy down. The outstanding cast that has been assembled for the film includes Joel Edgerton, Jessica Chastain, Chris Pratt, James Gandolfini, Jennifer Ehle, Mark Strong, Harold Perrineau, Frank Grillo, Jason Clarke, Mark Duplass, Edgar Ramirez and many more. Look for it in theaters on December 19th, when it will be going up against Jack Reacher starring Tom Cruise, Monsters Inc. 3D, and Judd Apatow's This is 40.
