It’s been awhile since we’ve run any worthwhile Harry Potter news. No, the two lame pictures they released a month ago do not count as worthwhile. After a bit of a drought, Dark Horizons has come up with something interesting… and they did it by doing the unimaginable… watching CNBC. Who does that?

Garth does apparently, since they caught a CNBC blurb revealing that Elizabeth Hurley has been offered a spot in Harry Potter 5. This comes as no surprise, since she’s one of the few actresses left in Great Britain not wearing a big, funny, wizard’s hat. It’d be a shame, she has lovely hair.

Her character is described only as an “Evil Witch”, a description which covers just about everyone not in Hogwarts in one way or another. Potter nerds guess she’ll be a character named Bellatrix. I guess that I still haven’t read the books and don’t know. The name makes her sound like a character dropped into the books out of “Reboot”.
