Why do films get separate posters for their IMAX and regular screen releases? I have no idea, but I don't really care when the different posters are so much fun to look at. Yahoo! Movies has the new IMAX poster for Inception, and it leaves behind the elegant simplicity of the earlier posters for something that might be a little overstuffed, but it's still a far cry from the usual "floating heads" nonsense.

Playing off the gravity-bending aspects of the film that we've seen in the trailers, and showing off the incredible cast-- Cotillard! Wantanabe! Murphy! Page!-- the poster is classy and intriguing and weird, like pretty much everything else Inception has shown off so far. Warner Bros. continues earning A-pluses for their marketing materials, and Chris Nolan, well, I couldn't be more excited about your movie if it were a double bill with J.J. Abrams' Super 8.
