Hey maybe this Indiana Jones 4 movie we’ve been hearing so much about really is happening. Tonight, BoxOfficeMojo announced that the long awaited, long rumored fourth Indiana Jones movie has a release date. Expect Indy 4 to wheelchair it’s way into theaters on May 22, 2008.
What kind of a release date is May 22, 2008? The best one possible. It’s the date most often reserved for the biggest blockbuster releases of the entire year. This year, in 2007 it’ll play host to Shrek the Third and Pirates of the Caribbean for instance. In case you didn’t already know, whether Harrison is too old or not, Indiana Jones 4 is going to be huge.
Even more than a year away though, that May release date already faces stiff competition. It’s Disney that will most likely be battling with Paramount’s Dr. Jones for audience dollars. The Chronicles of Narnia: Prince Caspian will hit theaters one week earlier on May 16, 2008.
