Indiana Jones And The Six Titles![]()
It’s a save bet that when Indiana Jones 4 finishes filming and ends up in theaters, it’s not going to be called Indiana Jones 4. So far, Lucas and Spielberg have taken almost gleeful joy in keeping us guessing about what they’ll take on after Indiana Jones and, in the film’s final title. Tonight though, the guys over at Slashfilm have the first clue on what sort of title they may be cracking their whip for.
One of their scoopers sent them the MPAA’s latest Title Registration Report, and on it Lucasfilm is listed as having registered several different titles for the film. That could be because they want to throw us all off the scent, or it could be that they simply haven’t decided yet. Whatever the reason, here are the ones that might be Indy 4 title contenders: • Indiana Jones and the City of Gods • Indiana Jones and the Destroyer of Worlds • Indiana Jones and the Fourth Corner of the Earth • Indiana Jones and the Kingdom of the Crystal Skull • Indiana Jones and the Lost City of Gold • Indiana Jones and the Quest for the Covenant Of those, Indiana Jones and the City of Gods is a title we’ve heard before. It’s long been rumored as the movie’s working title, though most have assumed it wouldn’t be on the film when it’s finally released. Personally though, I hope it is. Of those six titles, that’s definitely the best, though any title with the words “Crystal Skull” in it can’t be all bad. Lost City of Gold is a little too generic, Quest for the Covenant sounds to similar to the Ark of the Covenant which Indy has already found, Destroyer of Worlds sounds like a planet-eating comicbook characters, and Fourth Corner of the Earth is a little too Jules Verne for my tastes. |
