Indiana Jones Carries Heavy Artillary![]()
We’re still not quite certain exactly what Indiana Jones and the Kingdom of the Crystal Skull is about, but apparently in involves a bazooka. That’s courtesy of a new image from the movie, exclusive to Empire Online. The image shows Indy holding a bazooka while Shia LaBeouf appears a bit spooked and Karen Allen looks on as she drives whatever vehicle they’re in. I can only imagine the dialogue that goes with this picture, and I’m betting it involves LaBeouf mumbling “no” a lot.
The upcoming issue of Empire (with Hellboy on the cover) features this image as well as a new picture of Cate Blanchett as baddie Agent Spalko. It also shares some new information about the movie, such as the fact that it’s all but done. Spielberg appears to have finished his edit on the film, which is essentially locked and ready for scoring by John Williams, according to producer Frank Marshall. I’m still a little concerned about some of the alleged plot details we’ve heard along the way, but Indy carrying a bazooka somehow feels right, even if it does lack the style of his classic bullwhip. Apparently Marshall is pretty happy with the movie as well, likening it to Last Crusade more than any of the other Indy adventures. It's all adults. I mean, you have the sidekick in Shia (LaBeouf), but you don't have a Short Round and I think the banter between the characters is as fun as it was in the third movie". |
