Insidious Comes Out Of A Coma To Hit Blu-Ray And DVD![]()
Coming from the makers of Paranormal Activity and featuring a tagline as vaguely interesting as “It’s not the house that’s haunted,” it seemed like Insidious might be the sort of low-budget horror movie that is just good enough to rake in a little cash at the box office. Fortunately, Insidious is better than that, using the same creep-out rather than gross-out philosophy its creators are becoming known for. For more information, you can check out Mack’s review.
Insidious features Patrick Wilson and Rose Byrne as Josh and Renai Lambert, a couple who move from their homes after their oldest son falls into a coma-like sleep and strange, haunting events begin to occur. Insidious came into theaters in April and made over $50 million on a $1.5 million budget. So if you haven’t seen the film, you might want to check it out when it comes to Blu-ray and DVD on July 12. Special features seem to be more harmless than insidious with this release. Both the Blu-ray and DVD will come with an “On the set” segment, an exclusive seminar called “Horror 101,” and a third featurette titled “Insidious Entities.” You might notice there’s no gag reel. That’s probably better. I’m not sure any of us could handle Insidious's idea of humor. |
