I can honestly say that I am damn excited for Percy Jackson and the Olympians: The Lightning Thief. It's a big pile of nice looking effects with what seems to be a pretty excellent crossover of the real and the mythological. And there's no reason to ever not be excited for Uma Thurman. Ever.

With the new year fast approaching, Percy Jackson's February 12 release date isn't too far off, and Fox is doing its best to hold our attention with this brand spanking new international poster coming courtesy of Empire Online. The poster shows off yet another of Percy's seemingly endless powers, making me once again wish that something even half as awesome would happen to me. You can see the poster below.

Accompanying the poster and viewable at Empire as well is a 1-minute TV spot which gives us a look at centaured-out Pierce Brosnan and immerses us deeper into what the story will be.

With Chris Columbus behind the wheel, fans of the books can easily expect an adaptation as true as the run time will let him be to the source material.
