UPDATE: First Poster For Quentin Tarantino's Django Unchained
Because the movie isn't due out until Christmas Day, it's likely going to be a while before we see any actual footage, or even official photos, for Quentin Tarantino's Django Unchained. The spaghetti western homage is packed with an insanely great cast and buzz about the script has been off the charts (it was even featured on last year's Black List, the list of the most popular unproduced screenplays in Hollywood), but we're going to have to be patient. Thankfully, the marketing department seems to have a talented artist on-board that's coming up with great poster designs.
ScreenCrush has discovered a Spanish language one-sheet that was released for Django Unchained by Sony Pictures Espana. The image looks like one huge broken chain (fitting with the title) and I believe that's Jaimie Foxx and Christoph Waltz's characters roaming the plain at the bottom. Check the poster out below or full size over at the source.
It's worth noting that this artwork is very similar to a piece of fanart that has been going around, so I'm not 100% sure that this is authentic artwork from the movie. If we are contacted by the studio we'll be sure to let you know about the poster's status.
UPDATE: In response to the Spanish-language poster getting released,
Django Unchained stars Foxx as Django, a slave who manages to escape his captors and meets a German bounty hunter named Dr. King Schultz (Waltz). Teaming together, they work to both free Django's wife, Broomhilda (Kerry Washington) and kill her owner, the evil Calvin Candie (Leonardo DiCaprio). The film also stars Samuel L. Jackson, Kurt Russell, Sacha Baron Cohen, Walton Goggins, Don Johnson, James Remar, RZA, Anthony LaPaglia, M.C. Gainey, and Tom Savini.
