International Trailer And Poster For Rise Of The Planet Of The Apes Reveal Too Much Plot
The short international teaser for Rise of the Planet of the Apes that we posted Friday was taken down for one reason or another, but now an even longer and more detailed international trailer has come to replace it. At the website for the British newspaper The Sun they've posted the international poster for the film in addition to a lengthy new trailer; you can check out both of them below, but be warned that the trailer gives away way more than you probably need to know. It looks impressive, and the motion-capture performance Andy Serkis gives as Caesar continues to be stunning, but there seems to be a lot more plot revealed here than absolutely necessary. If you dare, take a look below.
![]() Coming to theaters on August 5 (August 12 in the UK), Rise of the Planet of the Apes will be one of the last blockbusters of the summer season, and right now one of the most intriguing. Sure it's got a hideously dumb title, but the story itself seems to be far more original than what you might expect from a new installment in a long-dormant franchise. Even if you're exhausted at the idea of another Apes movie, you've got to be at least a little intrigued to see James Franco play a research scientist, right? |
