International Trailer For Priest Looks Fun And Over The Top
Usually when an international trailer is released we wind up seeing some extra footage that for some reason wasn’t shown to American audiences, but the opposite is happening with new trailer for Priest. Running 40 seconds shorter than the first trailer released a couple weeks ago, this new one is simply a trimmed down version of what we’ve already seen.
Nonetheless, there are still some cool elements about the trailer that make this worth seeing, at least for now. First of all, the cast. As much as I dislike Paul Bettany in these over the top roles he doesn’t seem too bad this time, and his supporting cast of Maggie Q, Karl Urban, and Christopher Plummer all look prepared to kick ass. The special effects also look pretty good, at least on the small internet video screen. The vampires maybe look a little over the top, but for the most part the CG works pretty well. For now, I’m optimistic.
I can’t tell you that Priest is going to be an amazing movie, but it looks like its going to be a fun, bombastic piece of filmmaking that might just be worth your pennies. Scope out the trailer below with the official synopsis.
