Inventing Narnia
A new featurette on this winter’s release Narnia: The Lion, The Witch and the Wardrobe is out. Director Andrew Adamson is the focus, sharing insights on his feelings about the film and his approach to making the movie.
Despite his immense success directing the Shrek films, Adamson has a very different, very immense task on his hands: making a fantasy film that lives up to the popularity of C.S. Lewis’ legendary book without looking like a LOTR rip off. Can he do it? His crew seems to think so. Creative team member Howard Berger (Prosthetics Effects Supervisor) and producer Mark Johnson chime in with praise for Adamson’s skill and vision. But who cares about the talking heads? What about the good stuff? This 3 minute video bit has behind the scenes footage that give a glimpse of the locations and characters that Adamson and his crew are conjuring up for the filming. Forget the “LOTR-ripoff” nay-sayers. It’s some exciting stuff for anyone who loves a good fantasy movie. Click on the links below to see the feature.
