Ioan Gruffudd Going Back In Time Again![]()
I'll never understand why studios want to make biopics about writers. Sure some of them, like Ernest Hemingway, lived exciting lives in their own right, bullfighting and drinking heavily and whatnot. But writers write, a task that is boring both to watch and, mostly, to do (says the girl who has been sitting at her laptop since 8 a.m.)
And yet, here comes another biopic about an esteemed English writer, this one Wind in the WIllows author Kenneth Grahame. Ioan Gruffudd, best known for the Fantastic Four movies, is in negotiations to star as Grahame, with Samantha Morton as his wife, according to Variety. Gruffudd reecently played another somewhat obscure figure from British history, abolitionist William WIlberforce, in Amazing Grace. Apparently someone was really paying attention in history class. |
