Iron Man 3 Animated Alternate Ending Involves Batman, Superman And The Avengers
Very few are complaining about Iron Man 3. Shane Black’s sequel and the latest chapter in the Marvel Cinematic Universe has grossed more than $1.1 billion in worldwide ticket sales, and has the inside track towards being the highest-grossing film of the year. But the ending was … tidy. And so the guys at How It Should Have Ended have animated an alternate sequence explaining how they think the latest Iron Man should have concluded. Needless to say, it leads to a much, much shorter movie.
The twist is in the "House Party" protocol that Jarvis launches for Tony (Robert Downey Jr.) in the actual film. You know, the order that summons nearly 40 Iron Man suits to the site of the Mandarin’s lair, allowing Stark to vanquish his enemy once and for all. But why DID he wait so long to initiate the sequence. Was that ever explained? I’m quite certain our helpful commenters will weight in below telling me how stupid I am for not picking up a line of dialogue that was mumbled, explaining why Tony didn’t call all of his suits during his time in either Tennessee or Miami. Fire away.
The rest of the clip is pretty funny, with references to the film's similarities to The Incredibles, and the presence of Batman poking holes in the Iron Man plot holes … only to have Tony fire back at The Dark Knight Rises. It all ends with The Avengers in a nod, and a Christmas joke for the Shane Black fans. Give it a spin.
