Iron Man 3's New Armor Spotted On Set

Iron Man 3 has been in production since May, but they're still plugging away at it making sure that it's the best movie it can be. We've already seen a number of shots from the set that have given us a look at Iron Man's Mark XLVII armor as well as Iron Patriot, and now filming down in Dania Beach, Florida has revealed another look at the former. Check out the images below!

To go with those photos, which were collected by On Location Vacations, another snapshot has arrived online via People that features Robert Downey Jr. looking happy at what appears to be some kind of tiki hut.

While some of you may be worried that Iron Man 3 is still filming when the release date is coming up in early May next year, I can't imagine there is anything to really worry about. In mid-August there was a bit of a mishap where Downey Jr. injured his ankle on set, which caused a bit of delay. It's also worth noting that the footage that was shown from the movie at San Diego Comic Con in July looked absolutely pristine, so don't sweat the digital effects that will need to be done in post-production.

Iron Man 3 is being co-written and directed by Shane Black and will feature returning stars Downey Jr., Gwenyth Paltrow, Don Cheadle, Jon Favreau and Paul Bettany, and introduce new actors to the franchise including Guy Pearce, Rebecca Hall, Ben Kingsley, James Badge Dale, William Sadler, and Ashley Hamilton. Little is known about the plot of the movie outside of the fact that it is based on the Extremis storyline from the comics - where the titular hero had to stop the spread of a super soldier serum stolen by terrorists - and will feature him in a showdown with The Mandarin.
