So Michael Caine told us a few weeks ago, with absolute certainty, that Philip Seymour Hoffman and Johnny Depp would be participating in the third Batman movie, even though no one, including the director, have signed on to do a third film. So we're probably all well-advised to take any news he gives us with a grain of salt, especially when it's been confirmed by no outside sources.

That said, the actor told MTV that he's set to do a movie with Scarlett Johansson, and not only that, but Matthew McConaughey has joined the cast as well. "I’ll probably do a film with Scarlett Johansson. I forget what it’s called. It’s an adventure film. I was told yesterday that they have Matthew McConaughey as the guy. I’ve got go home and read it again. It’s a heist adventure film.”

Coming Soon thinks they've pegged the movie as Brilliant, which is being produced by Relativity Media. That is, if this movie even exists. You never know with Michael Caine these days.
