Is Spider-Man Getting Ready For Fatherhood?![]()
When will the speculation end? Last week alone we wrote three posts reporting the possibility that Felicia Hardy/Black Cat would be in the fourth Spider-Man flick. Like it or not, Spider-Man is a national treasure and one of the most beloved characters in pop culture, so we don't really have a choice but to write up everything that comes out about the project. So what is this week's big plot twist in the soap opera that surrounds our favorite web slinger? Why, an issue of paternity of course!
Spoiler TV has gotten its hands on a casting call for the next installment of the franchise which reads as follows: [TODDLER BOY] As the folks over there astutely pointed out, Mary Jane has red hair, which would could possibly suggest that Peter has decided to reproduce. If that is the case, that also would seem to indicate that the film will not only jump forward a few years, but also that the two could be married or will be getting married during the course of the film (don't want a baby out of wedlock upsetting middle America, do we?). The only real problem I have with any of this is that I've never heard of a 2 year old with an "engaging personality." When's the last time you went to a cocktail party and found a baby entertaining guests with stories of his trip to Tanzania to help the Makonde? That's what I thought. |
