Is Terminator Salvation PG-13?![]()
It’s been rumored for quite awhile now that director McG might be pulling his punches where Terminator Salvation is concerned. Till now, the Terminator franchise has been the domain of adults, and distinctly rated-R. That may be about to change.
At the New York Comic Con a few weeks ago McG hinted that he was under pressure from Warner Bros. to trim the movie down to a more teen-friendly PG-13 by removing some nudity. And a couple of weeks ago after the lackluster performance of Watchmen, Warners all but vowed never to make another R-rated superhero film. Now that PG-13 nightmare seems to have come true for T4, because on a corporate partnership site for the film sponsored by Pizza Hut, the movie is listed as PG-13. Of course it’s Pizza Hut, so what the hell do they know about anything that’s not related to pepperoni’s and mass produced crust, but it’s certainly not a good sign. It seems likely that Warner Bros. had at least some hand in approving their partnership site and it’s unlikely that they’d let them slap a PG-13 on there if they didn’t mean it. On the other hand, the MPAA currently has no rating listed for Terminator Salvation so maybe some delivery boy just dropped Pizza Hut’s promotional copy in the sauce. |
