OK, so the Sherlock Holmes set hasn't witnessed any genuine disasters like The Dark Knight did, when they lost a stuntman during a routine stunt, or Quantum of Solace which saw a badly injured stuntman and an Aston Martin in a lake. But the British press is talking up a Sherlock Curse, after stars Robert Downey Jr. and Jude Law both narrowly avoided death and injury on the set.
The Sun is reporting that, for starters, Downey was knocked cold by a fellow cast member in a fight scene, when he was "accidentally caught on the chin by a thundering hook. He went flying and was out cold," according to an anonymous source. And yesterday, director Guy Ritchie and Law both had to flee an honest-to-God fireball when a gas tanker exploded on the set. Did anyone check to see if it was just Michael Bay was shooting in the area?
