It's Good to be King

Variety reports that Village star William Hurt has been cast in the Gael Garcia Bernal (yeah I don't know who the hell he is either) starring vehicle The King. Directed by James Marsh (helmer of such classics as TV's "The Burger & the King: The Life & Cuisine of Elvis Presley"), Hurt plays a Baptist pastor whose world falls to pieces when his long lost son (Bernal) reappears.

I guess since working with a big name director didn't do much for him, he's decided to work with unknown talent. Still, William Hurt is an underrated talent, a guy like him ought to have his pick of projects, though he apparently doesn't.
