J.J. Abrams Making A Secret New Tentpole For Paramount? image
We all knew that Paramount was clinging closely to J.J. Abrams, with a Star Trek sequel in the works and plans for him and Tom Cruise to produce Mission: Impossible 4. But might they draft him for yet another blockbuster project even before Star Trek 2 gets going?

Apparently so, according to The New York Times. JoBlo picked up on a brief note at the end of an article about Paramount, in which Paramount chairman Brad Grey mentioned "another 'tentpole' film to be directed by Mr. Abrams, and yet to be announced." Apparently it might get going before either Trek 2 or Mission Impossible: 4, which seems kind of insane. Don't you need to get started on a Star Trek sequel before everyone starts thinking it's geeky again?
Star Trek sequel, and I want it now. Can't we find a way to have it both ways?
