J-Lo Kicks off Summer '05?

By Bill Beyrer: 2004-11-06 00:00:00
Since 1999, the first weekend in May has been a coveted slot for blockbusters to kick off the summer season. The Mummy, Gladiator, The Mummy Returns, Spider-Man, X2: X-Men United, and Van Helsing all did the honors of making us get our pockets ready for what was to come. Well, 2005 what do we get.......a "comedy" with J-Lo and a premise that's been milked dryer than Henry Fonda's dead corpse. Van Helsing’s tainting brings us Monster-In-Law.

Speaking of Corpse Fondas, Jane Fonda has not acted in a film for close to fifteen years now. Well, the Oscar winner has returned, all courtesy of the Puerto Rican nut job Jennifer Lopez. Kind of like how Streisand returns with Fockers thanks to Stiller's persistance. Anyhow, the teaser trailer has appeared online, and shockingly enough so has another. With.....an alternate ending? An alternate ending to basically the same trailer. I refuse to talk any further about this film because it makes my nose bleed trying to ponder this madness.

ha ha I get it.......parents hate whoever their kids date.....ha ha....it's funny 'cuz it's true.

Someone, please end me.

Monster-In-Law opens May 6th.
