The first trailer for the Jackie Chan/Jet Li teamup movie The Forbidden Kingdom is here. If only this movie had happened back when Jackie was young enough to be able to pull off all his own stunts. Still, even with the way Jackie has fallen apart over the last few years… this is a dream come true for anyone who’s any kind of fan of the kung fu film.
The trailer is full mostly of martial arts moves, swords, and drumbeats. It’s hard to tell what it’s about. But there’s a shot of Jackie Chan drinking which makes me hope he’ll bust out some of his awesome drunken boxing moves. And there’s a random white kid, who looks a lot like Shia LaBeouf. Actually, the trailer makes him look like he’s the star and Jackie and Jet are just ancillary figures. I hope not. People are going to see The Forbidden Kingdom for Jackie and Jet, not some kid doing a Shia impression.

i love jackie and jets movies. i think its cool when the first time they are going to fight i a movie. who ever did this. made a good chioce for them showing together.
It looks so cool. But sorry I just have to say this... The random white kid might be the downfall of this movie aka making it dumb... I'm not a racist, but I truly hope this kid doesn't play a big role... I believe that most JetLi and Jacky fan would agree with me. Why? because the story should revolve around Jet Li and Jacky, not karate kid.
I'm hoping this is more of an ensemble cast, if not it would be a shame to have them play second fiddle to this kid. Even though he does look like he has learned some nice moves.
Yeah, truth be told I've always seen Michael Angarano as a low-rent Shia LaBeouf, as I believe he did get a few of Shia's earlier throw-away scripts, they look WAY similar, the more so the older they get, and both have that Disney kid background. But, both seem to be growing up quite nicely. He ain't no Little Indy, but not too bad at all.
