If there’s anyone in the world calling Jackie Earle Haley a bad casting call as Freddy Krueger, I haven’t met them. That may be because they think it’s a great idea or because they saw Watchmen and have no interest in messing with the dude who chops up dogs.

Well, it turns out that we’re not just going to be treated to one Haley nightmare but three. Bloody Disgusting is reporting that Jackie Earle Haley has signed on for two additional Nightmare on Elm Street movies, to be made after the one they’re currently finishing production on.

No one said that making these movies was a good idea, but at least they’re trying to get the casting right. I’ve put myself in the state of mind that every movie is going to be remade before I die. You should probably get there too. May as well enjoy the ride, and with Jackie Earle Haley on board for three Elm Street horrors, there’s going to be a lot of ride to survive.
