Jake Gyllenhaal Goes Parkour In The First Prince Of Persia Clip
If you don’t know what Parkour is by now, you will by the time Prince of Persia rolls out into theaters. Parkour is the art or discipline of overcoming any obstacles by adapting to the environment. In practice this equates to guys leaping off of rooftops and jumping over fences in crazy foot chase sequences using all available surfaces as a means of escape and transportation.
In the first ever, complete scene released from Prince of Persia: The Sands of Time, Jake Gyllenhaal gives a full on Parkour demonstration in a chase scene that sends him racing through the city pursued by predictably inept guards. It’s a lot like some of the early chase scenes in Disney’s Aladdin, except without a monkey and of course, live-action instead of animated. Check out the first clip from Prince of Persia below: |
