Crazy casting rumors are nothing new to Batman. They started five minutes after Christopher Nolan finished making Batman Begins and they probably won’t stop until the movie is almost in theaters. The latest is one of the weirdest, though perhaps no weirder than Heath Ledger playing the Joker, and that turned out to be true.
With the Joker settled, the rumor-mongering is all about who will play Harvey Dent, the District Attorney who eventually becomes one of Batman’s arch villains Two-Face. In Tim Burton’s Batman movie he was played by Billy Dee Williams, in Joel Schumacher’s it was Tommy Lee Jones. Batman On Film says that in Christopher Nolan’s next Batman movie he may end up being played by Jamie Foxx.
He’s one of several names they’ve gleaned from the always unreliable “anonymous source”. They’re also suggesting Edward Norton and Eion Bailey may be up for the role. Bailey is someone who apparently tested for the role of Batman in Batman Begins, and now he’s supposedly getting consideration for another role. Edward Norton’s people have already denied his involvement, but denials aren’t always the honest truth.
Call me crazy, but of the three actors up for the part I like the idea of Jamie Foxx best. I can see him as a lawyer, but more importantly I think seeing what he could bring to Harvey Dent down the road, once he turns into Two-Face could be fascinating. In the comics, the character is usually portrayed as a white man, but if Billy Dee Williams played him then why not Jamie Foxx.
Like most Batman Begins sequel rumors, this will no doubt turn out to be vapor, but the idea of Foxx as Two-Face is exciting.

I love Jamie Fox i think he can get the job done. But this new batman goes st8 into the dc comic and to do that two face needs to be white. Sorry jamie to put you out like that but i love how this new batman is going and i like it to keep it that way. If you can find a white guy who's 6'4 and a strong chin grab him cuz he's going to be two-face.
The Harvey Dent as a white guy ship has sailed? WROOOOOOOOOOG! Anyone who thinks Jamie Foxx can play Harvey Dent is not a Batman fan and needs his checked!
Please, just anyone but Tommy Lee Jones. Sometimes i think TLJ thought he was supposed to be Joker. Seriously why was he always laughing!? Two Face hardly ever laughs. I actually agree with Jai, Norton has the stern intensity needed to play two face. I could see why they would want him black though on account of keeping the movie continuity intact but race aside i think Jamie Foxx is outstanding this just might not be the role for him.
It doesn't really matter what colour Two-Face is originally ... he just has to be a well-built actor, and the scarred side of the face has to look cool.
Everyone who is complaining about the possibility of Two-Face being black must have been SO disappointed that Ras Al Ghul wasn't Arabic ... I mean, you guys must have buoycoted Batman Begins on general principal, surely?
here is one worthy actor who can play harvey dent for the next batman movie.
Joquin Phoenix! Phoenix has those troubled glaring eyes remember he played the villain in
Gladiator, He can play that lawyer type of role plus he will have good acting scenes opposite
bruce wayne(bale)
Race should not matter at all, I think it depends if you are a good actor and can pull it off and I think Jaime Foxx is the right actor to do it. Nowhere does it say that parts are made is stone. I understand that some parts needs to be left alone, but this part as Two-face can be changed and manipulated, and Jamie Foxx could open up a whole new perspective to the role. If none of the comics had black heroes beside one or two, and none of the comics had black villains, why can't we bend the rules a little bit for the movies? C'mon!
Sorry guys but race should be a concept. If you have ever read the batman comics the oringal Harvey Dent was a white man. If you want to stay true to the writing of the comics then it should be a white male.
(Jake is right) Even looking back futher Two face was also blue, with white hair. Thats the true meaning of the text I have decided to write. Sorry, but on a personal note Jamie Foxx just could not do the role justice (great actor) but no. I more or less suggest Ryan Phillihpe for the role. (Cruel Intenstions) A small screen actor who could do a big screen job. So truly make whatever actor a man with a light blue skin do the job.
Honestly, Two-face is one character that started off in the comics as white. He was in the childrens cartoon series as black. He was white in the god-aweful movie batman forever. Two-face is definitely one character that has infinite artistic licencing. I could see him as any race. Not because race doesnt make a difference, but because that side of the face is not what matters. What is universally true about two face is that there is a good half and a bad half. The bad half is scarred and the good half isnt, and that is the premise for the character

Correct me if I'm wrong, but Isn't Harvey Dent (AKA Two-face) caucasian?
