Given what a great performance he got out of Jason Bateman in Juno, Jason Reitman should probably consider working with the Arrested Development star forever. It's just good business! Luckily Reitman's doing the right thing at least for his upcoming movie, Up in the Air, in which Bateman will play the boss of George Clooney's character, a businessman whose only joy in life comes from collecting frequent flyer miles.

Variety says that Bateman will shoot Up in the Air and have time to start filming Baster with Jennifer Aniston later this month, which probably means his part in the Reitman film isn't all that big. But hey, I'll take it! Bateman gets better to watch in pretty much everything he does, and as hard as it is to imagine anyone at all bossing around George Clooney, Michael Bluth cold probably manage it.
