It's got to be strange to be an actor and sit in a makeup chair and see yourself be transformed-- whether you're going full-out unrecognizable under prosthetics like Doug Jones in Guillermo del Toro's movies, or just getting banged up to look like you've been in one hell of a fight. Jason Statham is probably having some particularly strange days on the set of Crank 2, where he appears to be wearing a giant prosthetic head that makes him look like the scariest bobblehead in the world.

The Los Angeles Times' Hollywood Backlot feature has all the images, which show the giant Statham head both on its owner and, somewhat creepily, sitting on some equipment behind the scenes. I don't know nearly enough about the plot of Crank 2 to have a clue what purpose the giant heads serve, but stuntman Peewee Piemonte has one too, so maybe that means...a trip to bobblehead land? Seriously, I have no idea, but you're welcome to fill me in in the comments.
