Seth Rogen cracks me up to no end. He completely made The 40 Year Old Virgin for me and he is absolutely brilliant in Knocked Up. At the same time he has the right thing going for him to pull off Horton Hears a Who, although it’ll be weird hearing him without profanity involved.
Now I have no idea what this next project is supposed to be – just a joke trailer or presumably a short film and not a full length feature, but I think I could even handle a feature if the trailer is any indication. This trailer has appeared online for Jay and Seth versus the Apocalypse. It looks like Jay Baruchel and Seth Rogen playing themselves in a post-apocalyptic “last man on the planet” type environment... and getting on each other's nerves.
Simple idea, simple execution, and I’ve had to watch this trailer four or five times to catch everything due to my own laughter. If this ends up being more than just a trailer, I totally want to see Jay growing out the monster beard he sported in Knocked Up again. Check it out:
