I love Crash, but I’m really starting to wish it had never existed. Brokeback Mountain hasn’t spawned the bevy of gay romance movies some people were hoping for, but Crash has spawned an avalanche of interconnecting stories copycat films. The latest is an ensemble comedy called He’s Just Not That Into You and the Hollywood Reporter says Jennifer Aniston has just joined the ensemble.

The movie is being billed as “a social commentary about modern-day relationships and how men and women often misconstrue the intentions of the opposite sex.” Sorry, that doesn’t sound the least bit funny. Actually, it sounds like the kind of movie that will make my wife mad at me for not giving her flowers more often. Scuse me while I buy a dozen roses.

Alright, I’m back. Already in the cast is Jennifer Connelly, Kevin Connolly, Bradley Cooper, Justin Long, Ginnifer Goodwin and the movie is being produced by Drew Barrymore’s Flower Films. Here’s hoping they add Jennifer Lopez and Jennifer Garner to the cast, so that all four of Hollywood’s most powerful Jennifers can end up in the same film alongside Ginnifer Goodwin, who’s sort of like the Jennifer’s more talented but misspelled step-sister.
