Jennifer Garner Gets The Kingdom![]()
Now that she's done baking babies, "Alias" star Jennifer Garner is getting back to her film career. She's just entered into talks to star in director Peter Berg's thriller The Kingdom for Universal.
Already on board is Chris Cooper, who plays part of an FBI team on assignment in the Middle East. Jennifer would co-star with him as part of the team investigating a terrorist bombing in a compound full of Western workers. It's another ripped from the headlines story. With all the movies focused around war in the Middle East these days, it can't be long until the Iraq war gets it's own dusty version of Apocalypse Now. Maybe they can sub in camels for boats on a jungle river. Garner is already confirmed to star in several other upcoming films. She's already finished filming Catch and Release, a romantic comedy due out later this year. She'll also be the voice of an animal character for the in production movie version of "Charlotte's Web". Of course the last time she forayed into movies, it resulted in the disastrous Elektra movie. But since no one saw it, it's probably already been forgotten. |
