Jesse Eisenberg Tries To Get Melissa Leo Some Drugs In First Trailer For Why Stop Now
Apparently somebody decided that this would be a good week to release some trailers for independent films that premiered at this year's Sundance Film Festival. Just yesterday we brought you the first preview for Compliance, a psychological thriller about a prank phone caller who gets a fast food restaurant manager to torture one of her employees. Today, however, we have something a little bit more upbeat.
Yahoo! has premiered the first trailer for Why Stop Now, a new comedy directed by Phil Dorling and Ron Nyswaner (the latter of whom also wrote the script). The film has a terrific cast that includes Jesse Eisenberg, Melissa Leo and Tracy Morgan and tells a madcap story about rehab and the quest for one last hit. Check out the spot below!
Eli Smith (Jesse Eisenberg) is a young man with an incredibly bright future. He is a piano playing prodigy who has an audition to enter an extremly prestigious music program. There is only one thing standing in the way of his perfect future: his troubled, drug-addicted mother Penny (Melissa Leo). To ensure that things go okay with his audition, Eli attempts to get Penny's dealer, Sprinkles (Tracy Morgan) to help him, but, as you can imagine, things only start to spin out of control. The film will be available on Video OnDemand beginning this Friday and will have a limited run in theaters starting August 17th.
