Jim Breaks From The Office For A Directing Gig![]()
While we all wait with baited breath to find out what will happen with Jim and Pam on "The Office", Jim is off planning creative side projects. John Krasinski, who plays Jim on the American version of "The Office" is set to write and direct a feature film adaptation of the David Foster Wallace book "Brief Interviews with Hideous Men".
The book is a collection of 22 fictional stories in which men are interviewed about their relations with women. Most reviewers seem to paint the book as being all over the map, sometimes funny, sometimes poignant, and sometimes a complete and total mess. Adapting a book full of so many different stories told at such a blistering and frantic pace ought to be quite a challenge for Krasinski. He's been working as an actor for five years, and his upcoming schedule is jam-packed with big movies like Dreamgirls, but this is the first major project he's ever attempted as a writer and a director. Production Weekly says the movie will start shooting this November somewhere in the Northeast. Keep an eye out for Jim and his camera. |
