Disney has released the first poster for Robert Zemeckis’ A Christmas Carol starring Jim Carrey in several roles including the iconic Ebenezer Scrooge. Just as Beowulf and Polar Express before it, A Christmas Carol will be filmed entirely in performance capture animation, and this poster gives you an idea of just how good Zemeckis is getting at the technology. I can only say one thing about this new style of animation: it creeps me out like nothing else. Seriously. I still have nightmares about Tom Hanks in Polar Express, and I only ever saw the trailer. Please just make another Back to the Future, Robert, and stop trying to invade my psyche.
Anyway, the film is set to hit theatres on November 6, 2009, just in time for the holidays. Take a look at the poster below or see it in high-res over at Yahoo while I go to talk to my therapist.
