You’re probably wondering if there was any follow-up to Katey’s story Friday about how Joaquin Phoenix was going to make his rap debut in Vegas. Well, there is. He made his….rap debut…..in Vegas. No, we are so not kidding.

According to People, Phoenix performed three rap songs at LAVO, a Vegas nightclub, on Friday night. It’s not the same as playing at the Hollywood Bowl, but everyone has to start somewhere. According to the article, Phoenix was “fluttering around the club’s catwalk….rapped to the sounds of a drum beat and encouraged the crowd to dance.” Not many danced, but they did watch and Phoenix said of the crowd “you hold a very special place in my heart.” The crowd reportedly cheered at the end, but they were probably drunk, so what does that mean?

Ok, so he’s somewhat serious about this music thing. At least until the money he made on his last acting job runs out. Call me a disbeliever that this whole thing will go anywhere, but Joaquin doesn’t care about my bad energy, you feel me? "Are there people out there who think I'm a joke? I'm sure there will be. Are there people who think it's going to suck? Probably, but I can’t worry about that.” it’s like he said, “Ed, you think I suck, but I can’t worry about you, man, I got the music in me.”
