Joe Pesci Joins The Cast Of Gotti: Three Generations![]()
Nobody plays a gangster quite like Joe Pesci. From Goodfellas to Casino, there's nothing like watching a 5'4" angry Italian man beating the crap out of somebody - or in the case of Casino, watching the crap get beaten out of them. As a result, genre fans were elated when it was reported at the end of last year that Pesci would be joining the cast of The Irishman, Martin Scorsese's adaptation of Charles Brandt's book I Heard You Paint Houses, with Robert De Niro and Al Pacino. Unfortunately, that project has since been sidelined, meaning that Pesci is looking for work. Sadly, he's found some.
Deadline reports that Pesci has landed a role in Nick Cassavetes' Gotti: Three Generations. He joins a cast that already includes John Travolta - who will be playing John Gotti Jr. - and potentially Lindsey Lohan, who is currently in talks, but was handpicked by Victoria Gotti. Announced at a press conference, Pesci will play Angelo Ruggiero, a capo in the Gotti crime family. Also, producer Marc Fiore said that the casting of John Gotti Jr. in the next couple weeks. Travolta's daughter, Ella Bleu Travolta, will also have a role in the film. So we had a chance to see Pesci do a movie with Scorsese and De Niro again, but instead we are seeing him star in a movie with Travolta, Lohan and the director of The Notebook. Sometimes life just isn't fair. |
