John Travolta Says No To Breasts

By Josh Tyler: 2008-10-27 00:00:24
John Travolta Says No To Breasts I know that on some level I’m supposed to think it’s great when John Travolta straps on a pair of fake bosoms, throws a skirt over his head, and shows up on set to dance… but I don’t. Maybe it’s some failing deep inside me since I know a great many people who found his mammaried appearance in Hairspray 2 highly entertaining, but I just think of all the real, tippy-toed fat women out there looking for a job while he steals their already admittedly scarce parts. So it’s with great relief that I’m here to tell you Travolta will not be back in his dress for Hairspray 2.

Our friends over at Moviehole caught an interview with Travolta in Australia’s Sunday Herald Sun in which he told them, “I think once is enough.” Or maybe even too much. Showing absolutely no modesty he says, “I did it and I did it well but I'm not a big sequel guy.”

The sequel is rumored to again be focused on the Turnblad family, of which Travolta’s character is a large member in the first film. So that means they’ll have to recast him/her. This is going to make one special fat, dancing lady somewhere out there very happy. Maybe Kirsti Alley? Can she sing? Dance? Is she still fat? Or better yet, let’s all forget the whole thing and move on to something else. Hey I smiled and hummed along with the first movie, but no thanks John Waters, we really don’t need another.
