Sometimes life converges in strange ways. On Monday I picked up the John Waters Autobiography “Shock Value” (Ever want to feel like you’ve led a boring life? Read a John Waters Autobiography). Finished it just in time to watch Waters shill his new show on 'The Daily Show', and then woke up this morning to see that Waters has a new movie in the works.

Its like the Number 23, except with a gay cult filmmaker and instead of going insane I’m making note of it in a news posting. That’s how real people act see.

Anyway John Waters' next movie will be a childrens' film (!!!) about Christmas (!!!!) called Fruitcake (OK that one is to be expected). This is officially the coolest thing ever.

On Yahoo Waters says the film will be “terribly wonderful” and continued saying that "Children have always enjoyed my movies. They are just not allowed to watch many of them." I have always been something of a Waters freak. So the fact that John Waters is making a new film, for children, about Christmas is officially the coolest thing ever. The sun is brighter, the grass greener, the air sweeter, The Nightmare Before Christmas is finally going to get some company.
