Johnny Depp seems to be signing on for just about every movie in existence, right? It's not like anyone's going to argue. He is, after all, one of the most interesting and charismatic actors to ever take on Hollywood. The more movies he does, the more money I lose to a movie theater.

Depp's next project may have him working with an equally high-profile actress. According to Variety, he'sin talks to star in The Tourist, a thriller about an Interpol agent looking for a criminal who may be her ex-lover. The Interpol agent will be played by none other than Angelina Jolie. Granted, we live in a post-movie star world, but this is a pairing that will fill seats like mad.

This news is surprising since it contradicts recent reports that Depp's next pic would either be Pirates of the Caribbean: On Stranger Tides or a remake of The Lone Ranger. As CB's Perri Nemiroff reported just a few minutes ago The Lone Ranger is shooting for a 2012 release, so Depp has plenty of time to fit that into his schedule, but what about Pirates of the Caribbean? Disney promised Johnny would be returning for the fourquel, but with The Tourist on his agenda first, we may have to wait longer than expected. Fine by me.
