Johnny Depp Will Never Be Gililam's Don Quixote![]()
As much as Johnny Depp may like Terry Gilliam, he doesn't seem to be willing to go tilting at windmills with the guy all over again. According to Buddy TV, Gilliam has admitted that Depp won't be back with him for the second go-round of The Man Who Killed Don Quixote, the doomed movie that he tried and failed to shoot in 2000.
"I can now honestly say that I'm not working with Johnny on Don Quixote. He's booked himself up on a lot of other films," he said. He seems in good humor about it, though. "He said he's not available and we have both agreed that I'm going to die soon, so it would be nice to get this film under my belt." To say that Depp is overbooked is an understatement, given that Disney has him under their thumb for Pirates 4, and he's committed to a half dozen other passion projects that don't require him to wear eyeliner. As much as Depp could have lent some name recognition to the project, it's probably easier if Gilliam takes this window of opportunity to make his movie while the chance is still there. |
