When you're Jon Favreau and about to go into production on one of the most anticipated movies of next summer, you can release pretty much any information and get people excited. With that in mind, don't expect too much out of the first photo from the set of Cowboys & Aliens-- it comes from Favreau himself on his Twitter feed, and it's pretty minimal on details.

Hey, but now we know that the characters in a movie called Cowboys & Aliens will be dressed like cowboys! And look good in hats! And hey, he's got some kind of big thing wrapped around his wrist-- it could just be a fancy leather bracelet, or it could be some kind of alien-fighting weaponry. Since it's pretty much the only details worth focusing on, though, we're going to let you all speculate about it until official set photos show up months from now.
