The last time we heard any Joseph Gordon-Levitt news, he was being knocked off of a bicycle and flying through the rear window of a taxi. Fortunately he wasn't too badly harmed, just a few bloody cuts, but he'll have to stay that way for the next couple of months if he wants to get the chance to work with Rian Johnson again. According to Production Weekly's Twitter, Looper, the film in which Gordon-Levitt will co-star with Bruce Willis, is set to start shooting in January. In the film, the actor will play a time-traveling hit man who executes people sent back from the future.

One of Gordon-Levitt's greatest performances during the adult half of his career was in Johnson's Brick. Throw in an ethereal storyline a la Inception and it's hard to imagine anything not working about this next project. Likely due out in late 2011, be sure to keep it on your radar.
