Hot on the heels of the heavily Photoshopped cover image that showed the Avengers team assembled and ready for action, Entertainment Weekly has posted three new behind-the-scenes images showing the team looking a little more flesh-and-blood, and in one particular shot, a lot more relaxed. In a way these are really no different from the various set photos we've been seeing throughout the months of production, though of course, a lot cleaner looking. But I really like the shot of all of them sitting around with Joss Whedon, who must be stressed out of his mind as he prepares to take on a film as enormous as The Avengers, but who also seems kind of astonished to be sitting there with Thor himself. The EW article that will go along with these photos, on newsstands this Friday, promises to include behind-the-scenes details about everyone going out dancing together and the party-like vibe on the set. Who knows how much of that might just be PR spin, but come on, this definitely looks like a group of people you want to hang out with after hours.
