Julia Roberts' indie film Fireflies in the Garden hasn't yet been released for audiences, but she's got enough faith in the movie's director to team up with him yet again. She's agreed to produce, but not star in, the comedy Jesus Henry Christ, an adaptation of director Dennis Lee's short film that won a Student Academy Award.
Based on the description in THR, it's a quirky kind of comedy that can be charming or insufferable depending on how well it's done. The main character, Henry James Hermin, is a boy conceived in a petri dish who eventually follows a trail of Post-Its to try and find his real father. Yeah, I warned you it was quirky.
Lee will rewrite the script and direct the film, presumably adding all the wisdom he's gleaned from directing a full-length feature.
