Actors going abroad to film commercials is far from a new phenomenon. Hell, it was a subplot of Sofia Coppola's Lost In Translation and has provided the internet with some of the best viral videos of all time ( Arnold Schwarzenegger and Quentin Tarantino have provided two of my favorites). Now Julia Roberts has apparently gotten into the action.

An Italian coffee commercial with the Pretty Woman star has popped online and it will undoubtedly make you smile. Why? Because it appears that Roberts is employing the "smile and nod" method of acting. The commercial sees Roberts posing for a replication of Botticelli's "The Birth of Venus" with more clothes. The problem? Julia Roberts isn't smiling! It becomes quite apparent that she has absolutely no idea what the painter is saying, so they brew her an espresso that makes her light up like a Christmas tree! Then the painter and two other guys speak Italian near her for thirty seconds as she just stands there like smiling like an idiot. It's pretty fantastic.
