Amy Adams won acclaim last year for her performance in the mostly unwatched Indie movie Junebug. Now she’s taking that acclaim and turning it into a decent paycheck. She’s cashing in and joining the cast of the worst superhero movie idea since Elektra: the Underdog movie.
At least she’s in good company. The film, which will mix live-action with CGI to bring the semi-classic cartoon dog superhero to life, has already signed the genius talents of Jason Lee and Peter Dinklage. Lee will provide Underdog’s voice, Dinklage will provide brilliant acting in a really small package. Underdog isn’t the only big, empty paycheck on the independent film darling’s upcoming schedule. She’s also got a fairly significant role in the upcoming Will Ferrell comedy Talladega Nights.
